Myanmar Civil War Live Map 🇲🇲

This Myanmar war map tracks the multi-front civil war that erupted after the February 2021 coup, where the junta vs PDF fight has spread into nearly every state and region. Operation 1027 and its successor offensives have reshaped territorial control across Kachin, Shan, and Rakhine, turning once-quiet borderlands into the war's most contested terrain.

Mapped parties include the State Administration Council junta (Tatmadaw), the National Unity Government and its People's Defence Forces, and the major Ethnic Armed Organizations: KIA in Kachin, the Three Brotherhood Alliance (MNDAA, TNLA, AA) across Shan and Rakhine, plus KNLA, CNF, and KNDF. ACLED data shows the junta vs PDF dynamic now produces more monthly incidents than any other front in Southeast Asia.

battleMap aggregates OSINT from resistance media, citizen reporters, and Tatmadaw statements, with ADS-B traces of junta transport aircraft layered on the Kachin Shan Rakhine corridor. Filter the Myanmar war map by state, faction, or event type via /v1/events?region=myanmar. Updated every ~5 minutes via OSINT aggregation; full event history available via REST API.

Every event pinned to the Myanmar map includes a title (in the original language plus automatic translations to PL/EN/UK/RU), a UTC timestamp, a category (strike, shelling, troop movement, diplomatic escalation), and a link to the original news source. Data can be filtered by date, category, or bounding box. Events older than 30 days are accessible only through the keyed REST API.

The map supports fullscreen mode, dark and light themes, infinite-scroll event lists, and — for Ukraine — an additional territorial-control layer based on publicly available cartographic data (updated daily). Every title can be reported as fake news; moderators review submissions daily.
