battleMap Terms of Service
This is an English translation provided for convenience; in case of discrepancies the Polish version prevails.
Use of the battleMap service constitutes acceptance of the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. These Terms are interpreted in accordance with Polish law.
1. Definitions
- Service — the pages and services available at
battlemap.onlineand its subdomains. - Service Provider — SISL.pl, contact: admin@sisl.pl.
- User — any person using the Service.
- API — the programming interface
/v1/*, documented at /api.
2. Scope of services
The Service provides: an interactive conflict map, a position tracker for aircraft (ADS-B) and ships (AIS), Telegram notifications, a REST API, and a user dashboard. Subscription plans are described on the /pricing page. Some features are free (with ads), others require an active subscription.
3. Free plan and paid plans
- Free — full access to the map and views; we display Google AdSense ads.
- Ad-Free — no ads.
- API — access to
/v1/*with a limit of 1 request per minute per key. - API Premium — a limit of 1 request per second plus additional endpoints.
Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard — it remains active until the end of the paid period, with no pro-rata refunds. Full refunds are available only within 14 days of the first payment, pursuant to the consumer rights act.
4. Technical limits and fair use
API limits are enforced per key. Exceeding them results in the HTTP status code 429 (Too Many Requests). Persistent violation of the limits or circumventing them (e.g. multiple accounts of the same person) results in suspension of access without a refund. We do not allow:
- Scaling requests beyond the purchased plan (e.g. sharing a key with third parties).
- HTML scraping in order to circumvent API limits.
- Reselling raw data (the entire content or a significant part of it) without a separate licence agreement.
- Sending spam, attempting attacks, or attempting to exfiltrate other users' data.
- Using the Service for activities that are unlawful under Polish/EU law.
5. Disclaimer of liability (key)
The data presented in battleMap comes from open sources (OSINT) and is provided for informational purposes only. We make efforts to keep it current and correct, but we do not guarantee its completeness, correctness or timeliness at any given moment. The Service MUST NOT be used as a basis for military, intelligence, financial or operational decisions. Any such decision is made at your sole responsibility.
Positions of aircraft and ships may be delayed, incomplete or "missed" when a vessel turns off its transponder. Conflict events come from the aggregation of many sources — some may turn out to be false or propaganda. Correlations with markets are illustrative and do not constitute investment advice.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider's liability towards paying users is limited to the amount of the fees paid in the last 12 months. Towards free users, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect damages or lost profits.
7. Intellectual property
The code, layout, graphics and interface are the property of the Service Provider. Raw data retains the licences of its providers. The name "battleMap" and the logo are reserved as designations of the SISL.pl project.
8. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by e-mail (registered users) and by a banner on the home page at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of them.
9. Governing law and court
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes are resolved by the court having territorial jurisdiction over the Service Provider's registered seat, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
