Live war map — 10 active conflicts in one place
battleMap is an interactive, live war map built on open-source
intelligence (OSINT). It collects public reports from local and international
media, geolocates them and plots them on a single map together with front lines
and territorial control. New events appear roughly every 5 minutes,
and event titles are translated automatically into English, Ukrainian, Russian
and Polish.
The map currently covers the 10 largest active theatres of war: the
Russia–Ukraine war with its front line and territorial-control
layer, the Middle East (Israel–Palestine, Hezbollah and Lebanon,
Syria, Iran, the war in Yemen), the civil war in Sudan, the
uprising in Myanmar, and events on the Russian
side of the border. Each conflict has its own colour palette for the sides
involved and, where data exists, an occupied / contested territory overlay drawn
from public cartographic sources. The content is neutral and factual: it shows
what happened and where, not who is right.
Developers and analysts can use the public
REST API (/v1/events,
/v1/regions, /v1/territory) — a key on the API plan
unlocks full limits and history. The PRO
plan removes ads and gives programmatic access to the whole dataset. For
aircraft and ships there is liveMap: ADS-B / MLAT and AIS
positions on a separate map. A separate
markets view sets the daily event
count against gold, oil and crypto prices.

Who uses battleMap
OSINT analysts, foreign correspondents, humanitarian volunteers, researchers in
international relations, and anyone who wants to follow a war without wading
through dozens of social-media accounts. Every event has a local-time timestamp,
exact coordinates and, where the source provided one, an attached image or video.
The detail panel shows neighbouring events from the same region and gives you a
deep link to share a specific point on the map.
Keyboard shortcuts and navigation
The keyboard is a first-class citizen: J/K move through the
event list, F fits the map, T toggles the territorial-control
layer, D switches light/dark, ? opens the full help screen.
battleMap is a progressive web app — install it on your desktop or phone home
screen and get push notifications for new events in the regions you watch.
