Polski English

This map shows reported events of the war between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis: missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities, airports and facilities, interceptions announced by the coalition, and Saudi airstrikes and shelling in Yemen. Every event has a time, a place and a source; new ones arrive about every 5 minutes.

Saudi Arabia has fought the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) since 26 March 2015, when a Riyadh-led coalition intervened in Yemen after the Houthis took Sanaa. In the following years the Houthis fired on Saudi cities, airports and oil facilities — most prominently the September 2019 attack on the Aramco plants at Abqaiq and Khurais. The April 2022 truce formally lapsed after six months, but fighting on the border largely died down.

According to reports from 13 July 2026, the conflict resumed: Saudi jets struck Sanaa airport, and the Houthis answered with ballistic missiles and drones fired at Abha airport, declared a blockade and warned airlines against flying over Saudi Arabia. Since then the map has shown attacks on Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, Jazan and Najran, coalition statements on interceptions, and Saudi airstrikes and shelling in Saada province.

The map collects reports from both sides of the border — from a dozen or so to over a hundred a month. Many of them also appear on the Yemen war map; this page focuses on the Saudi–Houthi war. Every event has a time, a place and a link to its source, and the parties' claims are shown as claims — the map does not decide who is right.

Every event pinned to the Saudi Arabia vs Houthis map includes a title (in the original language plus automatic translations into 20 languages), a UTC timestamp, a category (strike, shelling, troop movement, diplomatic escalation), and a link to the original news source. Data can be filtered by date, category, or bounding box. Events older than 30 days are accessible only through the keyed REST API.

The map supports fullscreen mode, dark and light themes, infinite-scroll event lists, and — for Ukraine — an additional territorial-control layer based on publicly available cartographic data (updated daily). Every title can be reported as fake news; moderators review submissions daily.

New to the terminology? The OSINT, ADS-B and AIS glossary explains the terms used in event titles (front line, geolocation, Shahed drones, HIMARS, SAF/RSF, Houthis), and the battleMap FAQ covers data sources, update frequency and the API.

FAQ — Saudi Arabia vs Houthis

// Questions and answers
Are the Houthis attacking Saudi Arabia?

Yes. According to reports, since July 2026 the Houthis have fired ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi airports, cities and facilities — including Abha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Jazan and Najran. The Saudi-led coalition announces interceptions and carries out airstrikes in Yemen. The map shows these reports as they arrive.

How is this map different from the Yemen war map?

The Yemen map covers the whole war in Yemen and the Red Sea crisis. This page focuses on the Saudi–Houthi conflict — attacks on Saudi territory and Saudi operations in Yemen. Many events appear on both maps.

How often do new events appear?

The map refreshes about every 5 minutes. The number of reports depends on the intensity of the fighting — from a dozen or so to over a hundred a month.
